MindBodyWarrior Yoga

MindBodyWarrior Yoga is the ultimate in strength, flexibility, and mental training combining both ancient and modern tools and techniques to take your practice to the next level. The class typically starts with a traditional sun salutation warm up, followed by core and body weight training techniques that will challenge all levels, and ending with deep yin yoga poses to stretch everything out. One of the main goals is to teach you how to apply all the same principles from your mat practice, in to your strength training. Come learn how to connect the strength in your body and unleash the power of your core.

Yin Yoga

Yoga as practiced in North America is almost exclusively Yang or muscular in nature. The Yin aspect of Yoga uses long-held relaxed floor postures to stretch and stimulate the “Yin” or deep connective tissues of the body. The two major differences between a Yin and a Yang Yoga practice are that Yin postures should be done with the muscles relaxed and should be held a longer time. This is because connective tissue does not stretch like muscle and will not respond well to brief stresses. This gentle practice will increase your flexibility, opening your hips, lower back and shoulders and will enhance your overall sense of well-being. . It is truly a practice in letting go, of both the mental and the physical.

Power Yoga

Power is a flowing style of yoga, done in a heated room, that links the postures together in coordination with the breath. There is a strong focus on core strengthening using techniques uncommon to most other styles of yoga. Balances out with great flexibility exercises for the hips, legs, back and shoulders. This is a challenging class that builds strength as well as flexibility, creates openness in all areas of the body and gives one a sense of relaxation and well-being. Variations can be made to accommodate all levels of students.

Hatha Beginner

The best place for a beginner to start, and a great place for seasoned practitioners to come back to. We go through many of the basic postures with emphasis on foundation of the pose and learning how to be with our body and breath rather then stuck in our minds.
